After developing our website, I realized I needed to get our site to come up on major search engines. Just paying for SEO alone wasn't cheap, so I decided to join a directory like DocShop or Locate-a-Doc. The price would have been about the same either way, but I really felt like Locate-a-Doc was selling me and I wasn't impressed with their layout. DocShop offered me a free 30 day trial to prove their directory could bring in a steady flow of people from our area interested in plastic surgery.
Wow! We had a tremendous response. Just as we were beginning to use the patient leads, my aesthetician (who was helping me with all the follow-up) quit for a job closer to home. It took me a couple weeks to recover from that. Luckily, although my 30 day free trial had expired, Greg Rountree and Michael Hurley at Einstein allowed me to have another 2 weeks of free trial because they knew how great DocShop would be for our practice. Not only did we get an extension on our free trial, but they set us up using their PrePatient Software which allowed us to keep track of all the leads: When they came in, the email & phone call responses from us, with plenty of places to make note of what was said. It is a terrific organizational tool that makes it easy to keep track & follow-up appropriately. Even more importantly, it allows me to make the initial contact, but then be able to have my receptionist continue the process while I am able to monitor exactly where we are with each patient.
There is no doubt that being listed in the DocShop directory has brought our practice hundreds of leads, and whenever I have a question or need some help, I can always get a hold of Einstein (they have fabulous customer service!)
